Important Update from the Project
NW Ductless Heat Pump PROJECT
This year, the NW Ductless Heat Pump Project plans to increase marketing support around market-based promotions and retail initiatives. Throughout 2015, we will continue to transition certain consumer and installer marketing activities to the supply chain and/or utilities. Listed below are specific activities the Project will discontinue, and additional details about where you can find alternatives for this support.
Cooperative marketing program
The Project will discontinue its cooperative marketing program for installers in 2015. Although cooperative marketing funds are no longer available through the Project, we will continue to offer participating installers and utility partners free marketing and promotional materials, including access to our ductless image library, customizable marketing templates like the ductless infographic, and research-tested content to promote ductless systems to consumers. To view and download these materials, click here.
The Project also encourages participating installers to seek and take advantage of marketing support and cooperative marketing dollars offered by their distributors and local utilities to use in promoting ductless systems.
Installer of the Year Awards
The Project will discontinue hosting the Installer of the Year Awards in 2015. We encourage distributors and local utilities to formally recognize top-performing installers in their service areas.
Master Installer Website pages
The Project will no longer feature the Master Installer Spotlight web pages. We will continue to list participating installers on our website, and Master Installers will be identified with a red star.
The Project’s Facebook page
The Project will continue reducing our consumer-facing presence. One component of this shift will be the discontinuation of our Facebook page. Our Facebook fans will be notified of this change with a series of posts beginning in mid-February, with our last post planned for late March 2015 and removal of the page in December 2015. In our notification posts, the Project will encourage its Facebook followers to seek ductless-related information and resources from their electric utilities and local installers. We encourage participating installers and utility partners to share relevant industry news, market promotions and rebate information on your social media channels whenever possible.
Thank you for your participation and dedication to supporting ductless system installs in the region.
